Drop Tine Guns (“we”, “us”) runs the store at 1301 Barterbrook Road, Staunton, VA 24401, the website droptineguns.com, and the Drop Tine Guns and DT Staff mobile apps. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, an optional phone number, and your date of birth so we can confirm you are 18 or older.
- What you do with your account: guns you save, Find Me One requests, wish lists, event sign-ups, visit and gunsmith bookings, and messages you send us.
- Notification details: if you turn on push notifications in our app, we store a token from your device so we can send the alerts you choose.
- Staff app only: photos our staff take of firearms for listings.
- Website visits: our website uses cookies and Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, they share your name and email address with us. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real email.
Our apps do not collect your location, contacts, or payment information. Nothing is bought or sold in our apps, and we do not take payments on our website.
How we use it
We use your information to run your account and help you: to show your saved guns, match your requests to our inventory, answer your messages, manage events and bookings, and send the notifications you turn on. We use website statistics to improve the site.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers, and our apps do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Who can see it
Our staff can see your account details, requests, and messages so they can help you. We use a few service providers who handle data only on our behalf: Hostinger hosts our website and data, Apple delivers push notifications and provides Sign in with Apple, and Google provides website statistics and Google sign-in. We may share information if the law requires it.
Your choices
- Turn notifications on or off in the app or in your phone’s settings.
- Delete your account at any time in the app under Account, then Settings, then Delete account. You can also call or email us and we will delete it for you. Deleting your account removes your saved guns, requests, wish lists, messages, and bookings.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, by contacting us.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
Records that federal law requires a licensed firearms dealer to keep are handled separately at the store and are not part of your app or website account.
Age
Our apps and accounts are for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete the information linked to it, except where the law requires us to keep something.
Keeping it safe
Accounts are password protected and our site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you do not use anywhere else.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and let you know in the app.
