Common questions
Can I buy a gun in the app?
No. The app is for browsing our used and consignment guns, saving the ones you like, and staying in touch with the shop. Nothing is bought, sold, or reserved in the app. All sales are handled directly with the shop and follow federal and Virginia law.
How do I get alerts when a gun I want comes in?
Create a free account, then send us a Find Me One request in the app. Turn on notifications when the app asks, and we will send you a push notification when a match comes in. You can change which alerts you get in the app under Account, then Settings.
I’m not getting notifications.
On your iPhone, open Settings, then Notifications, then Drop Tine Guns, and make sure Allow Notifications is on. Then check your alert settings in the app under Account, then Settings.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot? and follow the link we send you. If you still can’t get in, call us and we will help.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Account, then Settings, then Delete account. This deletes your account, saved guns, requests, wish lists, messages, and bookings. You can also call or email us and we will delete it for you.
How do I report a problem with a conversation?
Open the conversation, tap the menu at the top, and choose Report a problem with this conversation. The owner reviews every report within one business day.
Who can use the app?
Anyone can browse. You must be 18 or older to create an account.
I work at Drop Tine Guns. How do I get the staff app?
Ask the owner for the DT Staff download link and a staff account. The staff app only works with a staff account.
